From challenger brand to leading agency.
Some brands start in a boardroom. Balloon Letting Co. started over a pint with Ben, and a dream to build a lettings agency Bristol could actually trust. We built that brand from the ground up, and years later, we had the joy of coming back to help it grow up too.
The Challenge
The original brand had done exactly what it set out to do.
It put Balloon Letting Co. on the map and gave Ben a genuine point of difference in an industry not always known for its warmth.
But success brings new challenges, and Ben's new head office (with more than a little "wow" factor) made one thing clear: the brand needed to mature in line with the business.
The goal wasn't to challenge the market any more. It was to lead it.
The Process
1 Strategy
We started by revisiting the brand strategy and positioning, sharpening the focus onto a smaller, more defined market.
This gave us the chance to refine the personality and messaging to match, keeping everything that made the brand loveable in the first place (the personal touch, being the good guys) while reaching further ahead towards where the business wanted to go next: more professional, more capable, more trustworthy.
2 Visual Identity
The logo stayed exactly as it should, a mark that had already earned its place. Around it, we built a richer visual world: additional colours, refined typography, branded illustrations and a set of core messaging and styles. The result felt polished and confident, without losing the personality that made the brand stand out in the first place.
Then, with the strategy and visuals in place, we turned to a complete overhaul of the creative assets, giving the business everything it needed to show up consistently, wherever customers found them.
3 Web
The website is the beating heart of the business, so we rebuilt it entirely from scratch, no small task given how well the original had performed. The new build is sophisticated and genuinely enjoyable to use, with custom animations, a bespoke approach to every page, and a new database system built to go toe to toe with the very best in the industry.
The Result
The new site has been live for a few months and it’s already doing exactly what it was built to do: taking Balloon Letting Co. to new heights.
Proof that the good guys can win, and that backing yourself with a strong brand is one of the smartest investments a growing business can make.
Balloon Letting Co. went through a rebrand process which we now call the accelerator, find out more below.
